D-Link++ Viewer App Reviews

Its fine

The application works. You simply have to lookup/know the IP addresses on your network for each of the cameras. The same IP address you would use in your browser to access the camera directly is the ip you enter into the setup fields. Similarly, if there was an passwords setup, these need to be entered in as well. All this software does is give you a video feed to each camera. Nothing more. What it does - it does fine. Wish there was more functionality, however.

Works as advertised

This app delivers as advertised and was easy to setup. You just need to have your cameras ip address and the login and password you assigned during setup. I am pleased with it! My camera was not listed, so I picked the model closest to it and presto...

Don"t work with d-link 932L

Don"t buy, wasted $2.99 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does not support newer icloud cameras

I downloaded this app then realized it doesnt work with the new icloud DSC 940L - it isnt a available selection in the drop down menu. I did try the last one listed to see if it would recognize the camera but it wont. The camera itself and the iPad, Iphone apps work fine.

Waste of time and money

Emphatic fail!!!

Works fine with dlink DCS-930L

works great, i use them to watch several rooms of my home. was easy to setup as long as cameras are configured correctly. dont forget to set static IP for your camera.

Dont buy!

I should have read the reviews. Cant seem to connect my Dlink cam

D-link DCS- 930L

Very disappointed. I cant make the camera work. Its telling me (Start Connecting To Camera) and it appears to connect but it doesnt. What a waste of time and money.

It works fine

Don’t know why there are all the negative reviews about it not working properly. You just need to know the ip address and you username/password. I have multiple cameras set up and it works perfect. Only reason for 4 stars is because it lacks audio.

Won’t even support the D-Linkdcs-5020L camera

Don’t buy! Waste of money! Does not support some of the D-Link cameras! POS!

DOESN’T WORK WITH DCS-9331

UPDATE THIS PLEASE. I ONLY GAVE THIS ONE STAR BECAUSE THAT’S THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT TO POST A REVIEW!! Despite the majority of critical reviews, I took a chance, spent $, and this app is CRAP!!! Please fix it. I paid the developer for this app; the developer should provide an app that works. PLEASE!

Great App

It really work… read instructions

Model #

Check to see if it supports your camera model first before buying app! I didn’t and of course it didnt support my camera(DCS-5010L) and there was no model similar to that, so i got screwed!

Does not work

It will not connect to my DCS-6111 cameras. Web interface on the cameras work fine, this software is a POS

DO NOT Buy THIS APP for your MAC

Just purchased a D Link 5222L and 5020L This wil not work with those models. Not happy! Great waste of money in 2014

Didn’t work and the support email address in help is disconnected

Bought to use with 2 DCS-5222LB1’s. Can’t connect to either of them. To make matters worse, the email address listed in the help screen has a permanent error - no such address...

This is not a D-Link app

This is a shill of a company. This does not connect to the mydlink.com service. Their site is down as of June 4th 2014. I have requested a refund from Apple directly.

WASTE OF MONEY!

Downloaded it just to realize that my DCS dlink camera model is NOT supported. Then went to their web link for support and the site no longer exists. PLEASE APPLE…KICK THEM OUT OF THE iTUNES STORE!!!!!

just purchased

just purchased and have no cameras to select from - not feeling short changed but definitely am short changed.

Seemingly unusable by design.

I have yet to be able to sucessfully use this app. From my attempts so far, it appears that you can’t use this app to access your camera without already having access to the camera, which kind of misses the point of having the app. In order to use the app, you have to have: 1) Its IP address, which appears to only be available from the advanced settings of the web page java-based app. IP addresses are not static and will change from time to time (for example when there is a power failure or I unplug the camera), so presumably I will have to use the Java app every time the IP address changes in order to use this app. 2) A user name and password. There is no clue from the app whether this is for the myDLink account, the camera’s admin account, or something new. 3) The camera’s model number, which you can get from the iOS or Java app, if you don’t happen to have the camera’s box anymore. What you CAN’T do is get any web-based help. The support link on the App Store page leads to a 404 page, and the link in the About this app window leads to a "site under construction" page. The iOS app has you sign in with your myDLink account and then it finds your camera for you, no other rigamarole required. I have no idea why the OS X app doesn’t do the same. Alternatively, the app could scan the local network for cameras and present them for login access.
